X studios worked with the Halo IP and Boomco dart guns to create a digital shooting gallery that measured physical darts from Boomco blasters. 

Due to the unique and ‘never been done before’ nature of the project, extensive research and development was performed. The testing determined which of the available technologies consistently and accurately measured the trajectory of the dart projectiles. The speed, shape of the projectile, and overall distance considerations were all be tested against IR Overlays, Capacitive Overlays & Color camera tracking techniques.

In addition, real-time 3D environment were created under the supervision of Microsoft’s 343 studios. The experience was featured at the Halo Outpost Discovery traveling fan event.
